    Okay, Got It…
    Branding to establish credibility and authority with several placement footprints on Google page 1.
    Because folks will Google search and see.

    5 Points:
    1 Content to help visitor
    2 Easy to navigate page
    3 “landlord-able” so can add/remove merchants from page
    4 Call to action to generate lead
    5 Content helps visitor so then they take the CTA from authority

    Looking forward to day 4 to see how you all market this.

    BTW, what are you all using to create the pages?
    And how do you all get on page 1 practically instantly?

    How are you securing this wordpress.com site without using a plugin?

    How are you able to collect leads?

    @sam
    If you use WordPress.com – they’re already responsive.

    @Eugene
    You don’t need any plugins to get going, you can collect leads with a simple contact form. Or… Have a “catch all” site that you use (that you host) where you use any plugins you like. Work on the footprint first and if you make it “landlordable” you can quickly adjust the flow of leads any way you like.

    Rock on!!! 😉

    FINALLY! I love what you’re saying about branding and footprints vs lead gen and phone calls.

    I’ve been trying to figure out how geo-targeted assets could be leveraged when they’re not getting the leads that the gurus say you’re supposed to sell. It’s the one question that has completely blocked me from making any moves toward a consulting business.

    Now you’ve removed that block… freakin’ awesome!! Can’t wait to see how you position the pitch when you get to the prospecting.

    Immense thanks for the reality check Ben!

    @solan
    Thanks for the feedback! And yes… The game has shifted and I don’t know why none of the other gurus are saying anything but it’s the absolute reality. The local leadgen model changed over the last couple years. Gone are the days when you can put up one page and expect to blow up the phones. Now is the era of educating business owners that if they want sustainable results, they need a footprint that gives them authority. And that will result in more business for sure. While everyone else is selling impossible to attain expectations, you can sell them on a model that makes sense!

    Think about it, when one of their prospects comes in the door and asks for any evidence of their own credibility, they can say “if you lookup ‘bankruptcy tips for Filing in Ohio’ – you’ll see that I am an expert on this subject and you’ll find lots of great info…”

    In other words, branding ain’t dead! 😉

    Rock on!

    Do you guys still use social media marketing blast like hootesuite With your new client’s or just a strong couple of b2b lead gen. Website? Thanks for great training!

    Hey Aaron! Great question. I personally don’t use hootsuite, but I’m a big believer in social signals as part of a footprint strategy. I’m not using it right now in this challenge yet, but I have my own tool developed internally for our company that does this on an insane level. Again, I’m not using that for this challenge because it would be an unfair advantage.

    Rock on! 😉

    Hi Ben,
    Awesome case study.
    1) I think you mentioned you’re not big on ‘contracts’ but I imagine especially attorneys want something in writing outlining what you’re offering and any refund/cancellation options (for those who pay you month to month).
    What kind of ‘agreement’ do you use and how do you handle refund requests?
    Thanks!

      @Andy – It’s a straightforward deal. In the very rare case that happens, I just prorate the months they have left – IF I agree to such.
